Pulse nightclub honors slain officers Debra Clayton and Norman Lewis
The Pulse nightclub, scene of the June 12 mass shooting near downtown Orlando, will honor slain law enforcement officers Debra Clayton and Norman Lewis by shining a blue light on its now iconic sign.
Clayton was shot Monday morning while trying to arrest a murder suspect at a Walmart store in West Orlando.
Another major landmark, the Coca-Cola Orlando Eye, was also lit in blue colors Monday evening in a tribute to the fallen officers.
For example, it was lit in rainbow colors after the mass shooting at Pulse gay nightclub in Orlando on June 12.
Orlando police Master Sgt. Debra Clayton was shot about 7:15 a.m. Monday morning by a murder suspect after someone pointed him out at a Walmart and she gave chase on foot, the agency reported.
