5 Teams That Should Take A Look At Adrian Peterson
Future Hall of Fame running back and Minnesota Vikings legend Adrian Peterson is about to reach a crossroads.
According to a statement on the team's official website, Peterson's $18 million option will not be picked up for the 2017 thus making him a free agent.
Peterson is far from what he used to be, what with turning 32 next month and already having undergone two major knee surgeries in his NFL career, one of which was last season.
The New York Daily News reported that Peterson would be interested in joining the Giants if the Vikings cut him, and what a fit it could be.
Granted, New York only has about $18 million to spend after doling out well over $100 million in free agency last offseason, but adding Peterson short-term would benefit an offense that has 36-year-old Eli Manning under center for the foreseeable future.
