Portland man convicted of federal cocaine offenses - Portland
A Portland man was found guilty in federal court Thursday of conspiracy to distribute and possession with intent to distribute cocaine and crack cocaine.
According to Acting U.S. Attorney Richard W. Murphy, Hassan, Nelson Calderon and others were involved in a conspiracy to sell cocaine and crack in southern Maine.
Hassan and Calderon were arrested in March 2016 while making a drug deal.
A search of Calderon’s home turned up about 160 grams of crack and about 460 grams of cocaine, Murphy said in a news release Friday.
Calderon pleaded guilty in November to a charge of conspiring to distribute drugs and awaits sentencing.
