And Dua Lipa apologised for using the N-word in her 2014 cover of Mila J's song Smoke, Drink, Break-Up in a tweet wrote on Thursday.

Singer Dua admitted she should never have 'gone there' when she made a public apology for using the racist slur in the recording of her song.

(sic) On reflection, the songstress revealed she wished she had 'thought it through' as she will 'always stand up for social justice' in the second tweet. '

I wasn't thinking it through at the time ... I always stand up for social justice and I am very sorry to anyone that I have offended x' (sic) The Bad Together hitmaker released her debut album in June 2017 which sky-rocketed in the charts.

The Hotter Than Hell hitmaker explained her songs are meant to empowerment in a interview with Fashion magazine earlier in January.
